CUSAS Annual Lecture
The 2010 CUSAS annual lecture will be held on Thursday, 20 May at 5pm in the South Lecture Room of the McDonald Institute, Downing Street. Professor Paul Willis from Keele University will be speaking on ‘The Future of Ethnography in the Social Sciences’. Paul Willis studied English Literature at Cambridge and received his PhD in Cultural Studies from Birmingham University. His most famous work is ‘Learning to Labour’ – an ethnographic account of working-class culture in Britain and attempts to resist dominant social discourses. There will be drinks and nibbles following the talk. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome.
