Dr F Stein's book

Cambridge University, affiliated anthropologist, Dr Felix Stein, has had his study of
the work of German management consultants, published. The book, entitled 'Work, sleep, repeat - the abstract labour of German management consultants', has been published by Bloomsbury, May 2017 as part of the LSE Monographs in Social Anthropology series. The book won the 2015 APLA student paper prize and the LSE Monographs Bloomsbury First Book Competition.

'Work, Sleep, Repeat' is an ethnography of German management consultants. Examining one of the most sought-after – and secretive – graduate professions, the book provides a first-hand account of the boardroom
culture of Europe’s strongest economy. It grapples with
the question of how best to describe contemporary work regimes in which nothing tangible is produced, and
suggests that consultants engage in “abstract labour”.
