Induction 2011- Pre-Field PhD and MRes
Dates Programme
Tuesday, 4 October
10am -12.30 am Graduate Safety course. Students need to be at the Babbage Lecture Theatres, New Museums Site by 9.45am. You are required to attend this course.
4.00pm – 5.000 pm Tour of Department/Faculty buildings (meet at Department of Social Anthropology students common room, ground floor)
Wednesday, 5 October
9.00 -12.00 Individual interviews (exact time to be confirmed)
2.00pm – 4.00pm Introduction to the Pre-Field PhD and MRes by director of course, Dr Sian Lazar. Seminar Room
4.00pm-5.00pm Introduction Session to the Joint Schools Social Science Research Methods Course. Babbage Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site.
Date tbc ? Individual interviews with course director (see schedule enclosed) check with Sian/James
Friday, 7 October
2.00pm- 3.30pm First session of Pre-field seminars, Seminar Room
6.00pm- 8.00p.m. Department of Social Anthropology Annual Party, New Museums Site Free School Lane.
