S6: Ethnographic Areas

Tibetan MonasteryThese are taught to advanced level. Candidates are required to offer one ethnographic area from a choice of three, which are specified by the Faculty Board each year and are currently expected to be taken from the following list:

1.    Europe
2.    Latin America
3.    South Asia
4.    Southeast Asia
5.    Pacific
6.    Africa
7.    Inner Asia

Some of these options may later be discontinued and new ones added.

For 2011/12 the following ethnographic area papers will be offered:

S6a: Africa
S6b: Inner Asia
S6c: South Asia
