Research Title: Habituating Field Scientists: Primatological Research in the Forests of the Democratic Republic of Congo

Lys has completed fieldwork in Equateur Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. She conducts ethnographic research in scientific communities studying wild great apes, and in the rainforest villages of their local (Congolese) collaborators. Her research interests include: Central African cosmologies, environmental anthropology, political ecology, anthropology of science, human-animal relations.
