University Lectureship in Medical Anthropology

Applications are invited for a University Lectureship in Medical Anthropology, to start on 1 September 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. This a permanent position subject to a probationary period of five years.

Candidates for this post must have a doctorate, and a proven record of fieldwork, scholarship, and publications, in Social Anthropology. They must demonstrate an ability and willingness to teach and research, and to be engaged with current debates, in Medical Anthropology. The postholder will organize and deliver the Department's teaching on the interdisciplinary MPhil in Health, Medicine and Society, other Medical Anthropology teaching within the Department, and will make a contribution to teaching in other fields of anthropology.
