“Returns to the Field” with Dr Liana Chua, Dr Iza Kavedžija, and Professor Yael Navaro

In this roundtable, we will reflect on the manifold forms that ‘returns to the field’ can take (physical, epistemological, digital, etc.) and the particular challenges and possibilities that they pose. Sharing our own experiences of return opens a space to contemplate issues of ethics, responsibility, (dis)engagement and other anthropological predicaments. These in turn raise fundamental questions about what ‘the field’ and ‘fieldwork’ are and could be.
