In your second and third years, you’ll deepen your understanding of anthropological theory and ethnographic practice, building on the foundation laid in Part I.
You can specialise in Social Anthropology either as a single track or as part of a joint track with Politics, Sociology or Divinity (Religious Studies). Teaching is delivered through lectures, seminars, and supervisions, with a strong emphasis on independent reading and critical engagement with ethnographic texts. Students also have the opportunity to undertake a dissertation in their final year, allowing for in-depth exploration of a topic of their choice.
For detailed course information and paper descriptions, please see the Social Anthropology Part II Moodle site.
