Starting in 2013, the Department decided to run a celebration for postgraduate students to showcase their fieldwork photographs. Each student submits up to three photographs along with a short narrative of their fieldwork. Judging is based on the quality and content of photographs, but special consideration is given to images which convey a strong sense of human life and experience in the setting depicted.
We have now run many successful celebrations with stunning images submitted. Our first and our 2023 competition featured in the University of Cambridge research pages and here for the 2023 winners photos.
