On theopolitics: Notes on an anthropology  - theology (un)awkward relation

This paper presents a perspective on the relation between Anthropology and Theology via aspects of apophatic theology, and its roots in the history of ethnographic practice and its engagements with sovereignty. I argue this is a helpful move to rekindle a field of Political Theology to Anthropology of Christianity and by doing so addressing a field of  Theopolitics –  a study of  forms of incarnated ‘sovereignty from below’.
