About
Artists Eliana Otta and Nuno Cassola talk about the origins and development of their project Virtual Sanctuary for Fertilizing Mourning, now materialized in a website called Luto Verde. The website hosts 360° VR films about indigenous leaders and environmental defenders recently murdered in the Peruvian Amazon, while fighting extractivist activities, narcotrafficking and land trafficking. The event will be followed by a discussion and a VR version of the website will be available for the audience to try out.
Attendance is free, but we ask that people register attendance under: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/virtual-sanctuary-for-fertilizing-mourning-tickets-618923876977
Organised by the Decolonise Cambridge Society, in collaboration with CUSAS and the Department of Social Anthropology.
